Rubber Cement's For Wimps

Postby Mr_Grue » Tue Mar 09, 2010 8:44 am

Here's a video of my first attempt at pushing a needle through my hand. Greedoniz insisted I record the moment for posterity, I think hoping I would sever a nerve and destroy what little dexterity I have. So here it is. PM me if you want to know where to learn it. Quality's not great. Oh for a second Flip.

Tried to watch it, but the website insists I sit in a queue for 12 minutes or something?

Odd. I posted the link before the video had finished processing, so you may have caught the tail end of that. When did you try it?

Good to see folk still doing this sort of thing, Ive never had the guts myself :)
My grandfather used to do this through his cheeks with a standard needle and thread. He could also hold his thumb over a flame indefinetely :)
Nice work Mr Grue

Thanks Jim. I must admit one of my first thoughts having done it was "what else can I pierce?" though I think I'll be drawing a line here. If I perform this properly, it will be demonstrating our capacity to tolerate pain, so it's all I need, really.

nice! I used to 'sew' my fingers together with needle and thread when I was much younger, but this takes it to whole new level!

Excellent. There was a guy in Vancouver who put the needle through his cheek. through the hand is much better.
