Face Off by Panda Magic

Here is my first review. Hope I did everything right.

Name: Face Off
By: Panda Magic
Cost: about 10 Euros

The Effect: A spectator chooses a card and it is put back into the deck.
Then the magician presents the "probably right" card, but it isnt. So the magician needs the help of fire. He lights the wrong card and in a flash the spectators card shows up.

Facts:
Gimmick: Yes
Instant reset: No, takes about a minute for you to be alone to reset it
Shuffle/Cut the Deck: Yes, but only the magician
Force the Card: No, spectator can choose any card
Sign the Card: Yes spectator can sign the face of the card (NOT the back)
Gimmick self-made: Yes with a little bit of work you could build that gimmick for other decks too

What you get:
- The Gimmick-Card
- 10 color-printed Flashpaper-cards
- a small roll of double sided tape
- a small instruction paper in english without pics

Fabrication:
The Gimmick card is in Bicycle-Style but its shiny so you maybe have to watch your angle a bit. Its also thicker than a normal Bicycle-card.
The Flashpaper-Cards have printed on cards in color, also Bicycle-Style. The Printing isnt at all clean. The edges of the print has fringes like when you would try to print/write on a blotting paper... The colors are pale. They arent bright like on real cards.

Handling:
It works if you practice it (you only have 10 flash-cards!) but its definatly nothing for a close-up show. Every spectator would see at first sight that there is something wrong bc of the kind of paper and the colors. So better have some distance between you and the spectator.
When you light the flash paper, it gets so hot that the spectators card will bend, get boils (front and back) and some residues are burned into/onto the card so that it really looks like a mess.

Conclusion:
On video-presentations it looked like a cool effect (dont know how they cheated there) but in real life its not practical. Ruins the spectators card, is easy to spot by the spectator and you only have 10 tries which is too few for that price.
So DONT BUY IT

See ya at my next review.
