extreme burn 2 - rubber cement

Postby lukeclough » Apr 9th, '10, 14:42

hi guys,

I have recently purchased extreme burn 2, and it recommends getting some rubber cement, but I have never heard it of here in england. Can anyone tell me where to get hold of it in england?

thanks

You can also use Copydex, which is easily available here i the uk/. You can get it off the shelf at places like WH Smiths.

Might be a bit cheaper then ordering this from a specialist magic supplier.

I use the pots of copydex that have built in brush i the lid. You can also get squeezy tubes, but I cannot vouch that they have the same properties for the glue.

You can also try 3M repositioning spray for really good results although it's likely to be the most expensive of the three recommended so far.

The benefit is that you'll have loads left for all sorts of other card effects that use the st***y card principle.

Rubber Cement

Rubber Cement is obtainable from any Cycle Shop. That's where it was first used extensively--bike repair outfits.

You can also get a large tube--maybe a pot of Cow Gum from any good stationers.
It was the late Eric Lewis who introduced CG to the Magic Fraternity in his book 'Opus 13' pages 72/3. Book was published in 1951, by Goodliffe Publications.
Interestingly it was Dedicated to 'Valerie(6) & Martin(3). Without whose help this book would have been written in a fraction of the time it actually took!'
Martin, inventor of Sidewalk Shuffle & the Rising Card on the Art Pad, will be 64 this September.
