CRAZY BALL - BRUNO COPIN

Postby dat8962 » Apr 24th, '10, 13:21

The Effect

What it says on the box.

Cup routines are numerous. Crazy Ball is an innovative and highly original version in which you will find almost all of the key effects of magic.

Crazy Ball is full of crazy effects (appearances, disappearances, transpositions, penetrations, transformations and levitations). Crazy Ball is the result of a long creative research project which was undertaken by its creator, Bruno COPIN.

Bruno's work has received prizes in many international competitions. He presented Crazy Ball on the TV show Special Las Vegas (Starling productions) which featured some of the world's greatest magicians. The show was presented by the famous French magician, Sylvain MIROUF.

To highlight the strong effects contained in this routine, original music was composed by specialists. This routine is literally a feat of magic when presented live by Bruno because in order to perform it perfect timing is required between the sound effects and magic gestures. You will be able to isolate each individual effect and organize them to suit your own timing.

Instruction booklet and a sample of Copin's IT are included.

Review

I won't make any secret of the fact that I love working with a chop cup and it's one of my favourite routines to perform as well as watch.

Crazy ball intruiged me when I saw it on the shelf at World Magic Shop and I picked it up, read it and put it back about half a dozen times before making my mind up to buy it. I just couldn't resist it in the end.

It's a lovely routine to watch although it's definately NOT a routine for a beginner. In fact I'd recommend that you have a few years experience of performing with a chop cup before you consider buying this. What's also different is that it's a routine that uses IT.

Like all cup routines this does rely on timing and precision is perhaps more critical in this routine because of the various IT moves. There aren't any final loads of fruit etc. with Crazy Ball, just a load of a small figure that catches the chop cup ball which is so mesmerising to watch.

The quality of the footage and sound is first class and the teaching of the routine by Copin is very detailed but you will still have to put in a lot of work to do this routine justice. Afterwards, you'll have a marvelous peice of magic that your audience will talk about for a long time.

Overall

Very worthwile getting this if you're into your chop cups.
