Definitely one for my wish list this. I'll likely order one in the next couple of months. I have a holiday coming up that is taking every penny I have at the moment.

Mine went missing in the post, when I contacted Simon he replied within minutes and sorted it out, sending out a replacement and sending me an e-mail apologising for the hassle.

Just say its been adapted to be used with a modern bulb...Ive shown mine to a load of people...the reason the wood is light is because (get this)
they used to be used as a planchette on a spirit board so it had to be lit...and the device would move around the board lighting up as well, when the spirit was at its strongest!!! yes please feel free to steal my genius plans again

I think to many people on here worry about the little things here and there...if your good a drawing in your audiece you could sell them on anything...It the performer that makes the item "real" not its aged look, its battery or anything else for tha matter....bring them into your world!!!

As with all effects, the patter and story should be adapted to suit each individual style, the script supplied is top notch and provdes an excellent basis for presentation with subtle individual variations.

I got mine yesterday, just before visiting an veteran magician. I showed him the Spirit Lamp and had him completely fooled. He turned it and twisted it, looking at it from every single angle, trying to get it to light up ...

It's simply brilliant and will serve as a great prop in many a bizarre magic presentations. Even in plain mentalism.

Just a heads up here, the Pocket Version is now available - it's thinner and smaller than the original version and there are several very useful extras included. Mine only arrived today so no chance yet to check it out properly or organise a full review but if nobody else does one I'll pen a few words asap.
