The Spirit Lamp from Unleash Your dreams

Postby markthorold » Jun 4th, '10, 13:14

My first review here so here goes

The Spirit Lamp, available from Unleash Your Dreams ( UK )

A bizarre magical device for communicating with the dead!
This device will answer all your questions from the world beyond our own.
Simple to use and devastating to see in use!

Can the Spirit Lamp be examined?
Yes the Spirit Lamp can be examined the battery disconnected, the bulb removed, the actual board can be examined completely and there no chance of anything being seen ,because the Spirit Lamp is completely examinable.

Do you need to touch the Spirit Lamp in order to operate it?
No you need not touch the Spirit Lamp at all.

Can you place the spirit lamp in someones hands and operate it?
Yes you can if you want to.

Does the spirit lamp use a transmitter in order to work?
No it does not.

Is is really examinable?
Yes! Totally, it can be examined before, during and after.
Your spectators will find nothing at all!

Is anything held in the hands gimmick wise?
No not at all...

Having recently purchased this item ,and tested it in real world working conditions ,I felt inspired to recommend it to any magi who have an interest in the bizzare and unusual .
The item is well made and stands close inspection . All questions are honestly answered ( above) with none of the usual magic dealer evasiveness. Ive customised mine to give it an ancient woodworm riddled effect ( thank you dremmel and shoe polish lol )
The seller has been absolutely brilliant in supporting his product and I believe he has more top quality effects in the offering .
Price wise cannot be matched and is on offer at the moment ( less than I paid ,but Id willingly pay more ....)
Can be found by googling the company name ( Unleash Your Dreams ) and searching through the other items he has .It will also show a video of it in action and a superb backstory for the unit .

Value for money 10/10
Ease of use 10/10
Customer support cant be faulted
Skill level Easy peasy
Cost : Around £25 , was on offer recently

Im very critical about effects , and moreso recently at the "tat" that is being hawked around with trailers that don't show the effect or even worse have been heavily edited .This is a product that is indeed praisworthy .

I'd seen it before and thought it sounded a bit too much like Lebanon circle ghost in the machine, but from your description it sounds like a different method. Hmmm intersting.

Ill be honest with you , its a similar method . However you couldnt make it at that price even if you were on an apprentices' wage ...

I bought their Electronic Monte Box last year, haven't quite got my head round it properly yet but the quality is good and I guess might use the same principle. To my mind it will look a bit better when 'antiqued' and the PP3 battery dressed as something less modern, it'll be a superb effect.

Spirit Lamp Orders

Postby UYD » Jun 6th, '10, 12:56

Hi there.
Simon here from unleashyourdreams. I just wanted to thank you for placing an order for a Spirit Lamp, and apologise for not replying personally yet other than the automatic one from the website. I can only apologise but we were having the office refitted ( see website for details) and I was myself at the top of Scotland, nr Boleskine House researching and filming for a new project. I am back now and will be working full tilt to get all orders out to you all within the next 7 days. All items will be sent with full online tracking and you will of course each get a personal email with all postage details and tracking numbers. If you have any questions at all please email me via the website or this email address, as this will get a quicker reply. There are full contact details on the website as well.
So the long and short of it is ,if you placed an order within the last week you will have your lamp shipped within 7 days and emails with tracking will be sent. If you have any questions then please contact me, I have not been ignoring anyone I was just away.
Kindest regards and thank you.

Spirit lamp Orders

Postby UYD » Jun 7th, '10, 12:20

Hi all, I see you have beat me to it Mandrake with some battery covers, I am working on getting pp3 cover based on an old design. I will mail all buyers of the lamp a jpg scaled for a pp3 as soon as it is ready.
I have had a lot of people ask about the battery to be disguised so we are working on a label as well.
Hope this helps somewhat
Regards

I have one of these and it is very nice. Looks good and the effect is nicely spooky.

My only (minor) criticisms are;

The base feels a little 'light' and this has led to questions

Mine makes an audible click when the lamp goes on.

I really like the product though :) and would recommend it.

I dont over encourage handling and if "dressed " it wont look light in the slightest . Mine doesnt click but it can be explained away as a burst of paranormal energy causing the bulb to light . Just my thoughts

Hi, all
Firstly those who you that ordered while I was away the Lamps are shipping today and Monday. Those of you that asked for a darker wood and a not so uniform design this has been done for you.
On the subject of the slight click the noise comes from the bulb filament being lit. Nik I have PM'ed you about this but in case you have not had the mail, please contact me as we are happy to exchange the lamp if you wish.
Kindest regards and thank you all again
Please contact me if you have any further questions
