I don't want to be negative, but if this was actually played out the way it is described on the page that sells it, it would truely be incredible, however, the actual operation of the trick requires a step that is conveniently not mentioned until you buy the trick.
I will try to explain this without exposing the trick, I hope the moderator will take care of this post if I make a mistake.
<I'm going to edit this to try to still make my point but also be a bit more vague.>
The missing step is that while the person is looking at their card and concentrating on it, you need to "move into their space", I'll leave out what the move is, but you have to get quite close, to read their mind. You can then write down what their card is and then reveal it to them.
The problem is, I tried this on my wife and her imediate response to me reaching over to her was to pull her card close to her chest. Trying to salvage the trick I told her, "you have to be looking at the card while you concentrate on it." She then put the card up against her nose and looked at it.
I would suspect that would be a normal response. If someone supposedly divining a card you are holding reaches towards you, you will pull the card close to your chest.
Anyways, we both had a very good laugh about it, but I have not tried the trick on anyone else, because I suspect I will get the same response.
If the description on the selling page would have said you had to actually invade the space of the person holding the card, I probably would have thought twice about buying it.
