Incredible !
By Bob Solari.
http://www.magic-more.com/index.asp?Pag ... &ProdID=99

Effect: You go to your friend's house and ask him to merely think of any card, but not to announce it. You ask your friend to loan you a deck of cards. Without touching the cards at any time, you now ask your friend to remove the card that he is thinking of. The remainder of the deck is tabled. With the back of the card kept toward you at all times, you now ask your friend to concentrate and stare intently at the face of their card. Telling your friend that you need to pick up "psychic vibrations," you next write on a pad of paper an impression that's come to your mind. Turning the pad around, you show that written on it is the NAME OF THEIR CARD.

Review - Incredible really is a very strong effect! (I give four stars).
Not five, because this magic not ideal to make in place with more peoples near you, but is very good to close up (same you and aonther people - a specator)
Also, the original rotine is must to be modify to best performance.
Hard Level (1-5) = 3,5

It looks brilliant, but can anyone find a UK seller?

I don't want to be negative, but if this was actually played out the way it is described on the page that sells it, it would truely be incredible, however, the actual operation of the trick requires a step that is conveniently not mentioned until you buy the trick.

I will try to explain this without exposing the trick, I hope the moderator will take care of this post if I make a mistake.

<I'm going to edit this to try to still make my point but also be a bit more vague.>
The missing step is that while the person is looking at their card and concentrating on it, you need to "move into their space", I'll leave out what the move is, but you have to get quite close, to read their mind. You can then write down what their card is and then reveal it to them.

The problem is, I tried this on my wife and her imediate response to me reaching over to her was to pull her card close to her chest. Trying to salvage the trick I told her, "you have to be looking at the card while you concentrate on it." She then put the card up against her nose and looked at it.

I would suspect that would be a normal response. If someone supposedly divining a card you are holding reaches towards you, you will pull the card close to your chest.

Anyways, we both had a very good laugh about it, but I have not tried the trick on anyone else, because I suspect I will get the same response.

If the description on the selling page would have said you had to actually invade the space of the person holding the card, I probably would have thought twice about buying it.

It does seem to sound as if they've missed out an important step there. It sounded from the original description that you keep your distance at all times, which would make it fabulously clean.

I am still a newbie, but I have found after buying a few tricks that the descriptions used to sell them usually have one or two details removed in order to not give the trick away before it is bought, unfortunately sometimes one or two details are removed to make it sound more amaizing, aparently to make the trick more sellable.

I expected the trick to play as described and was prepared to be amazed to find out how its performed under those circumstances.

On the otherhand, I bought a Solari's wallet from Solari and in that case I got what I expected. BY the way I have had great reactions from that one. I'll review it here if there is not already a review for it posted.
