Postby Allen Tipton » Jul 6th, '10, 10:31

News has just come through that Glenn Falkenstein has died of Alzheimers. He continued performing his incredible & fast blindfold routine as long as his mempory lasted.
Luckily all of this Act; its performance, presentatiin & secrets are preserved on dvd for future students of Mentalism.
Very striking on stage & the perfect presenter to his wife Francis Willard in the legendary Willard Spirit Cabinet.

Our condolences go out to Francis, the children and relatives

Rest in Peace Glenn. You will be in magicians' memories for ever.

The word 'legend' is bandied about far too loosely these days.
But his guy was certainly a legend....

I got a phone call yesterday afternoon with this news, my heart missed a beat or too, Glen and Francis have been wonderful "friends" over the years.

For those not aware and wishing to send condolences, remember that Michael Ammar is married to Francis's daughter (Glen's by proxy), which might be the easiest route to the family in that there isn't much of a direct line at the public level.

:? Two major players within a week... I shudder to think who #3 is going to be... they always die in threes, after all.

Let's hope not, Craig.

Another sad loss to the world of mentalism; we certainly don't need anyone else going any time soon.
