I know I’m still new, but cannot see any mention of this anywhere else.

What about a forum for Magic Club Committee members where topics relating to running the business side of a magic club could be discussed.

For example club fees, club nights theme and how to recruit more members.

My reason for this is having taken on presidency of my own club I am interested in what other magic clubs do as best practice.

George - that sounds to me like an excellent idea. I'll discuss it with the other mods.

It was briefly discussed, so sorry not to get back to you.

I think the main feeling is that as there are so few Magic Society Committee members here it probably doesn't justify having a separate room at the moment. Of course if there were more, and they made themselves known, then it is something we could reconsider again.

At the moment it is probably jsut as well to pm ideas..

Culled from MagicWeek 18/9/04 - http://www.magicweek.co.uk/:

Magic Clubs, a Yahoo Group, was founded by David Lang back in March. The concept being that magic club committee members can exchange information about events, subscriptions, entry requirements, rules, venues, lectures or anything else related to running a local magic club. So, if you're a magic club committee member, you are invited to join by sending a blank email to magicclubs-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. 18.9.04

Sounds promising!
