Could we decide on a word that we can post in spam threads that would allow Mandrake to quickly find and dispatch them?

Actually, a unique word that could be serached for sounds like a good idea - however I am sure Mandrake (as indeed all the mods) do go through every post anyway.

the only problem with a unique word is, Some of the more playfull members will post it all over the place, following a session in the pub.....

Make it an entire phrase that has no meaning or purpose being on a magical forum. So as long as we keep it in quote marks,
"FISM winner David Blaine"
should do it.

You'll notice that some of these ads have stupid titles such as 'Ignore this idiot' and so on. That's because we jiggered with the word censor to automatically add those words instead of certain keywords in the ads. It doesn't work every time but does the job on many of them. A PM with the link to the Mods is always appreciated and those who do this will live long, prosperous and very happy lives

...it would be such a shame to ban Some of the more playful members then
shukkle is a nice word - but we can't use it now for fear of accidentally deleting this thread...

That could be fun - If I want someone banned - I just edit their message to add the word shukkle - and mandrake will disappear them (or maybe make them "shukkle off to buffalo" )
I feel an abuse of poer coming on

Oh you can't ban shukkle now, I quite like that word!
I've just put that into the urban dictionary and it brings up shukkle-rumsticks which I love even more.
