Yes, you can make your own hawk gimmick (If you’ve re-done your extractor then you sound like you know what you’re doing) and the nice guy on the DVD shows you how to do it (I think anyway, I never got that far :-/ – ill get back to you on this one, but he defiantly shows you how to repair and when you see the gimmick you’ll know how to make your own) The one you get with it you DO need a bicycle deck.

The Devil's Tailor wrote:I am thinking that the problems are both angels and quite likely setup?
Maybe someone who has it will convince me/others that it is in fact worthwhile!?

The angels and setup aren’t really a problem. The angle isn’t too important and is VERY easy to achieve . I think the setup is pretty easy too, everything is ‘hidden’ and it’s well worth the effect for the finale your ACR.
If the main concern for your purchase is the angle and set-up then buy this. these are VERY minor points (for me anyway)

If you are ‘umming and arrnig’ about it my advice would be to purchase it, if you got some spare £ and your CUPS is running wild.

Any other questions let me know and I'm sure I can answer them.

Thanks for this, magicj. I feel tempted to buy it again now. But I'm wondering about Richard's comment...

richard bellars wrote:there is nothing in your pockets, no electronics etc....but if I'm being honest i thought the whole thing was awful and quite unusable as a worker....worst money i've spent in ages!

In what way unusuable as a worker? Any specific way? Angles? Setup?

Any advice appreciated. Please clarify! Thanks!

I wouldn't at all say it was unusable and disagree with that.

after all this hype however, im not sure i am ever going to use it as my ACR ender (I have Real Mans CTW) i may use it for promo vids, but I'm half tempted to sell it on but the larger half of me (My stomach and my ego*) wants to keep it and study it...

...grr

That is quite horrible and should probably be edited.

Who's Pete, and why do you have his stomach?

(And - more interestingly - why does Kobain object so strongly over Pete's stomach?!!)

I don't know if my review needs to be revised? I'm just not going to use it in my routine.

But you gave 9/10 and said it was "super SUPER visual"
Why would you not be using it?

the reason i wont be using it, is because i have my ACR down to a tee.
And just dont want this as my ender.

I think it is incredibly visual for someone without a cracking ending to their ACR, for me, my CTW is spot on. exactly what i want. I just cant see me using this instead of my CTW. i do highly recommend it, and with a bit of practice it can be devastating.

don't get me wrong, I'm not getting rid of it because its c*** (not the best) (Which it is not, IMO), just because i wont use it myself.

I hope that helps?
