Loki.. Magictao

Postby daleshrimpton » Sep 9th, '10, 09:53

Hi All....

well, ive been lucky enough to have had one of these devices for a week or so now, and already i can see amazing potentials.

Whilst It's true to say that this does things that many other devices can do, Loki has a couple of other things about it that None of the others have.
Its number one benifit over everything else that has followed, is that for teh first time, you can have the secret to so many great effects out on display.
In context, nobody will question it.
Do you for example do a billet effect where you burn the evidence? Loki will help you out.
Do you want to do a card in wallet, with any wallet? Loki can help you out.

would you like to switch one item for another, in the nude? Loki wil.. well you get the basic idea.

Loki, isnt a trick in it's self. It is however a tool which will enable you to perform so many things, those things only limited by your imagination.

Loki..
Available soon.

And Dale is in the reviews also :)

This could be useful for me as I use a Zippo anyway so noone would question me having a Zippo out. Is it a genuine Zippo and can it be used as a normal lighter?

yes, you can use it as a lighter. Instructions come with it, in order to do so.

Its not a genuine zippo product. That would push teh price way up.
But having said that, it's a very nice looki-likie. not tinny and cheep. A robust lighter.

You can not only use this for all of the effects on the DVD but you could also use it as an easy to manage holdout.

Looks really good, I especially like the bill/card transpo, very visual.

ive just found a way of cleaning up at the end of a chop cup routine.
And if you happen to use the magnetic pea in a shell and pea routine, its the perfect item to use for switching in and out the pea. it looks like it should be there.

Funny how the demo does not show any of the mentalism applications, which it seems to me are plentiful...

Costas has opened up a users forum, And there should be follow up dvds, or books as people discover more and more uses for Loki.

As far as mentalism goes, well, it has quite a large number of applications as Todd said.
Firstly Its shiny. so it can aid in peeks. and it's a lighter, so should you want to burn the thing that you have peeked at.. you can without any suspisious moves.

Naturally you can make items move, just like any other existing pk device. but with Loki, you can show that neiter the device or the object are atracted to each other, before, during, or after the effect if you wish, thanks to its built in blind spot.

(think about it... you can't switch off a normal pk magnet can you? well with Loki,as ive discovered , you effectivly can )

You can use it in conjunction with shimmed items.

take for example Korans pie tin effect where a prediction appears in the soot on a plate produced by wax candles.

Imagine how clean it would be, if you use the thing that lit those candles, to steal away the thing that you use in the trick?

if you do a razor blade swallow, or a needle swallow.. Loki goves you a great way to hold out the load.
Any effect that uses flame, wher you light a candle to set the mood, can be followed by any number of pk effects, because the motive power is there on your table.

I am with Iain on this , the point is? And if you don't smoke why would you carry a lighter anyway?

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

At last November's Tabula Mentis, I absent mindedly left a 25mm neo in the pocket of my jeans overnight. My wallet was in another pocket and the two items were in contact all night because of where I'd carefully left them - on the floor, in a crumpled heap. All my cards still work.

P.S: Costas brought a Loki to Darkest Cheshire a few months ago, and we tested it with a Factotum Magnetic Thumper. We could detect it from a heck of a long way away.
