Hi guys,

Here is the trailer for my latest effect Strike 2.2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGdXfNDSwkE" target="_blank

After many requests from people that purchased 'The Step System' DVDs, we've finally managed to get the lighters that I used for the rouitine, Strike 2 made up especially for magicians. They're the same lighters used in the original routine, but with one very special difference in that they will enable you to predict two chosen cards at the end of the routine!

Please have a look.

In theory I would consider this effect to be too obvious because "the move" is extremely overused. In theory I would say people in the audience hat to be "blind" or dumb not to see what's going on. But, I must say, seeing you perform it on the video, even I believe you are actually doing what you say are. Your handling is superb!

I used to do a much shorter routine using only one lighter. The first version with two lighters I saw was a bar code transfer.

Anyway, the card reveal is a nice touch, but I feel it doesn't go well with the original effect. To me, the effect is much better without cards and other magic props being involved.

The effect with the barcode can be used with kostya Kimlets Warning which makes a nice variation.

Also the lighters can be used for the standard routine as the revelations are hidden untill need be. It just gives options for getting into or out of a card set. They have come in hany on the fly a few times when the spectators pick or name certain cards.

There is a fantastic presentation credited to Adam Dadswell on the DVD using influence which make the routine very relevent by going back to the lighters later and having them believe they had been psychologically influenced by the routine earlier. (it will make sense when you see it)

Many thanks,

Lee.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Thanks,

It really does! its one of strongest effects I do, and one of those things that to us as magicians we overlook because of the simplicity of the method.

I perform some clever sleight of hand magic (that has taken me years to learn) and some really powerfull effects, and they just say do the lighter one again.
Laymen just love this type of visual eye candy.

I've seen Lee perform this countless amounts of times up to date and the reactions are AMAZING.... no-one has ever said "I know that's done" so it's most definitely not obvious.... maybe only to a magician who knows what to look for. Lees handling is so smooth and goes from one phase to the next so swiftly that the laymans minds have been blown away. congrats Lee on another great product

Just a quick note to let you all know that this is also now back in stock after a year of people asking for a re run.

The first lot sold out very fast and we only have a limited run again.

Many thanks.

Having watched Lee dem this at the home counties a couple of weeks ago, i can only sugest that if you are after good solid commercial magic ,that can work in both an impromptu setting, and something a little more formal, than this is the routine for you.

This little number, brings the colour changing knives up to date, and is perfrect for the guys who recently asked for sugestions for magic to do in a noisy club enviroment.

The props can also be used to light things, and sway back and forth at a Barry Manilow concert. :D

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I like the move used here. The clueless chap a few posts above whose mantra ia "in theory" should try this in practice. Although I don't have Lee's no doubt excellent version, I have used a similar kind of thing for a while which consists of a verbal force of a card. If you're interested, Lee, I'll let you know my handling if you wish to add it to a future release.
