New Year predictions anyone?

Postby SamGurney » Jan 4th, '11, 23:59

What does everyone predict will happen this year?

I predict:
-US signs treaties with China.
-The death of Margaret Thatcher on the 22nd of March.
-Coalition split. Further annoyance in Britain about spending cuts, possible occasional protest, generally will be put up with.
-Events in the Indonesian area somehow related to France. Possibly in Burma then.
-A certain royal wedding.
-The Queen or Prince Philip will also die, on the 6th of November at 14:56.
-Something will attract the world's attention in Africa. It will affect lots of Africans.
-The press will get caught in some scandal or in legal problems about something they have published.
-A murderer's motive will involve an affair/ attraction.
-Important scientific discovery. Will get quite large media coverage.
-Ireland will have massive economic difficulties with their new budget. Lots of the population will become disillusioned and frustrated at the government.
-Something will happen somewhere involving stuff.
-The tea party and republicans unite and take over the world. Or try, at least.
-In South America something will happen to do with humanitarianism and the US will get involved, probably under the pretext of narcotics.
-Baby Jesus will be born.
-Britain will adopt mormanism as its official religion.
-Natural disaster will occur, causing extreme climates in different parts of the globe.
-Conservatives will prove unequivocally that under their rule there has been a 7.8% increase in the quality of life.

My warnings for this year:
- Treat Palestinians well or retaliation will unfortunatley occur. Don't be christian in Iraq.
- Never lick a stranger's spoon.

I really need to know how you do that trick: where can I buy a DVD to teach it, I couldn't find it on youtube. Something just happened to my stuff. How did YOU know? Was it a message from the other side?

I plumped for what was widely regarded as 2010's best card book (I'm not mentioning any names) - very dissapointed.

Did anyone else find it funny when Brian Cox said on Stargazing Live with a straight face that all of the planets will be in alignment in 2012 and we should be concerned? No? Just me?

Anyway, I have nothing for this year. Absolutely nothing

come may, i predict that everybody will notice that the VAT increase hasnt made an impact on the general public... so the government will announce a new tax, or cost cutting that will.

at some time in the next 10 months, there will be a minor incident at the Olympic stadium. nobody will be injured, but everybody will go into panic mode, because security loop holes will be highlighted.

Jordan and her husband will give it one more try.. and will anounce this within a couple of days after peter announces his wedding.

That is an interesting point though and I do think that this year will undoubtedly see a re-emergence of fear of security and terrorism.
