Terry Seabrook==== Broken wand

Postby daleshrimpton » Jan 11th, '11, 16:00

Terry Seabrook, has died.

England has lost,one of the greatest ambasadors of magic, we have ever had.
His work in the field of Stand up comedy magic is legendary. His routine for the Burnt bill in wallet, has circled the world many times, and has appeared in most working pros acts at one time or another, Including David Copperfiels, on his Liberty special as " Lets burn a deal"

I have had the pleasure of watching this master, m.c many times, as he was a favorite at magical conventions across the globe.
I first came face to face with him many years ago at an early Ron Macmillan day in lodon, and was in awe of him. Just to see him work a room was a masterclass in audience handling, and timing. I had heard his name a few years before, from a work colegue who had seen him work a stag night, He could recall every word, and every trick.. but not one of the strippers.. This is the sign of Genius.

The world has lost a true great... but lets remember that he is now at peace, and free from pain.... and probably propping up the bar somewhere with Billy Mcomb, making the angels laugh with tales of the old days. :)

My thoughts and best wishes go to His Family, and friends, and to the members of the Watford magicians, who were so lucky to have the old git around them for so long....
:)

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

One of my all time favourite magicians, I was lucky enough to meet him several times. Each time was a learning experience. RIP

What a great shame. I remember Terry being on the TV quite a bit in the 70s (and early 80s, I think), and he presented magic so well.

Until last year, Terry was a regular at the Blackpool Convention. Despite his mobility difficulties he still managed to perform and crack undending gags. RIP Terry.
