I didn't mean the review to sound overly negative. I thought the DVD was a good standard and very good value but a review should also point out any things that a person thinks could be better about a product. I did point out my own shortcomings in the review too.

Far from it, I kinda agree with you, its just that the time restraints and the amount of room on a DVD didn't allow us to do this. Any input is always taken on board, hence the reason we included the sleights we did on the DVD, sleights like the Action Palm and the Vernon Transfer are rarely seen on DVD so these were included. I think that if we had the room on the DVD we would have included a 'sleight toolbox', something I believe John Carey has on one of his DVDs.

I remember when I first bought the Classic Magic of Larry Jennings and I couldn't half the stuff in there, but you sort of grow in to it as you build your arsenal of sleights, I'm glad I never sold it now lol!

Kind regards,

Gary.

Early on in the thread Gary said....

Try it with very small coins, for some bizarre reason it goes down brilliantly,

The reason for this, is simply that spectators know we can palm coins. But they think we can only palm coins of a particular size..( Because everybody uses coins of the same size) so, if you do something with small coins.. 20p for example..it fools them.:)

Its like using a blue, or Yellw silk in a t.t instead of the usual red rag.

Spectators are so Fickle at times.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

You're absolutely spot on Dale, I'm sure the spectators think 5p pieces are impossible to manipulate! I do 3fly with 5p's for magicians, it's so hard to do lol!

All through this thread I've been racking my braincell tryingto think why the word 'icandy' is so familiar but not in a magical sense and it's suddenly dawned on me - as Mrs.M and I are due to be grandparents in the next few weeks, we've been storing the baby transport apparatus here - see http://www.babybabyonline.co.uk/brands/ ... fAodHneHIQ - and it's printed all over the various boxes - doh!!!

I'm still trying to locate a coin purse with pocket for the ring/coin purse effect.

Can't seem to drop on one anywhere.

Never thought I'd find anything magical from Bettaware - but the purses are great.

We still get catalogues from Bettaware though the door with a note saying the salesperson will call back in a couple of days to take any orders we'd like to place. Must take more notice of the catalogue next time!

Hi guys,

I know a few of you wanted the purses used on here and the Unknown as well.

Gary has managed to get some.

Here are his and Mark Bendells posts.

Gary has managed to find a small number of purses which are required for both my watch routine on 'The Unknown', and Gary's routine (Ring and Purse) on 'iCandy'. There are two different types of purse.....

Type 1, This is exactly like the one used on iCandy and can be used for both routines, plus many other uses in magic, priced at £11 including worldwide shipping;

Type 2, This purse has an additional pocket with a popper on the front (2 pockets in total, 1 secret pocket and 1 which is on view) with this purse you can do both routines (Ring and Coin and my watch routine) without the need to switch purses, again priced at £11 including worldwide shipping.

Gary only has a very small number of each type purse so they will be sold on a first come first served basis. You will need to contact Gary direct gjmagic@btopenworld.com and not on here if you would like to purchase one.

. I managed to pick up a few dozen leather snap purses from a shop in Malaga, they weren't as cheap as I wanted so I'm just covering my initial outlay and p & p, I will also add two sets of lecture notes free of charge (pdf sent by email).

The one pocket purse is the same as the purse I used on iCandy, so if you have this DVD you will know what it looks like. The other purse has two pockets, as Mark has already mentioned this purse can be used for both routines and you're always ready to go.

Many thanks,
