Hi Tom

Good review !!

I presumed from the advert that it was based on the original "drink cards" effect released by Supreme magic many years ago.

I have the de-luxe version that has laminated cards and have used it regularly to good effect.
I guess I've always felt that it was more of a "bar" type puzzle trick than a strong hitter?

I think I will invest in the new version after reading your review because I feel it's been brought up to date and has more opportunity to appeal to a wider audience,

cheers

Ian B :)

Having read Tom's review I ordered this and its just arrived.

Neat, very neat.
5 minutes to learn, easy to do and with the method used, easy to throw your spectators off the scent!

This pre- dates the drink cards. In Gansons art of close up magic vol 1, is an effect using perfume that plays very close to this. ( I suspect that's what tom refered to in his review)
I am quite glad that someone has now had the cards printed up, because it's a geat effet.

I know this is probably a dead thread, but I own Common Scents (which I think is a nice little trick - especially for the ladies!) and also the Ganson Close Up books, and hadn't made the link before.

Now, I no it is really easy to overlook gems in Magic books, so there is a good lesson to be reminded of here, but I couldn't find the trick you referred to in voluem 1. Did you mean the drink trick in Volume 2?
