http://www.magicnevin.com/proddetail.asp?prod=p15090 Price: £37.99
Performer displays a wicker Snake basket.

A card is freely selected from a deck (no force required) and shuffled back into the deck which is placed in the basket.

At command a Snake's head rises from the basket with the chosen card in its mouth.

This is very simple in operation, under your control at all times, and gives you a novel stage item at a very affordable cost.

my view:-
nice kids show prop easy to use and gives you plenty of scope with the prediction item plus plenty of room in the basket, genuine wicker, for a stiff rope and rope through neck, professors ropes or any other rope related tricks.
you can use the operating mechanism to make the lid jump about and introduce the rope items as your snake before the revelation even an apearing straw.
you could use this as a base for a whole childrens show as you have a generose (sp) 10 inch diamiter x 4 inch high basket which is mostly empty.

From this, am I right that there's no need to use playing cards? Can the snake appear with something else in its maw?

And how hands-off is the operating mechanism? Do you need to hold the basket? Or is the dirty work done by foot?

very intrigued.

yes your right balloons and a change bag or balls or silks anything you can durry rig to the clip. :D

its a basic ring pull leaver action but you could make a stand and a peddle if desired.

this also apears to be a magic knevin exclusive as a internet search showed no videos.

This is really cheap. Aren't these usually very expensive? This must be an instant buy for a kids show!
