Ultracinese DVD

Postby moonbeam » May 8th, '11, 21:40

Okay so I bought Ultracinese off Ebay (2nd hand) and jumped in buying it, not realising that there was meant to be a DVD with it.
I read the item description and it said it came with instructions, so I thought that everything was in order.

Having read the review, I now know that there's meant to be a DVD, so I've either got a rip-off copy, or the seller has mislaid/lost the DVD (highly unlikely!!).

I can get the unit to work and I can get the nut to spin off the bolt quite quickly - but only with a 50% (ish) success rate, so my question is - is there somewhere where I can buy just the DVD ???
I've scoured the magic shops to no avail and to be honest I don't even want to consider the illegal download sites.

When you say 50% success do you mean that some combinations of nuts and bolts work and some dont?

I'm using the same nut and bolt that came with the trick and I know that hand positions, grip and lots of other factors come into play. One minute it all works fine and the nut flies off and other times, even though I'm trying to replicate the same conditions, the nut moves but nowhere near as quick as before.
There are obviously some issues that I'm not aware of, that will prob be explained in full on the DVD  .

was it a private auction, or a magic dealer on Ebay ?
If it was a genuine dealer then ask them for the DVD.

However, I have heard that some cloned ultrascines' on Ebay are made using a different type of whatnot thingy, so the official DVD may not be of any use to you.

I think worldmagicstore do their own dvd tutorial on this.I think David Penn is the instructer in the dvd.

Don't hold me to it though

this will probably end up in the inuedo section but here goes, get your self a bowl of water and put the tip in  this will give you a visual que to your grip technique and wether your getting enough stroke from your packege.

I don't have this myself but I'm familiar with the workings unless of cause if yours uses a more atractive device if so you will need a diferent substance to check the intensity of your field, hopen this is vaque enough but still makes sence.

.... and if I'm still struggling after using my bowl of water (knowing my luck - I will be  ) - I'll try their site thanks

Does anyone remember the pre-sales hype over this? It was meant to be the greatest thing ever. Then they released it and things went very quiet. Wonder what the next "must have" will be?

Chris Beard's new DVD of tidbits entitled "Beard Trimmings"?

Disclaimer - I have no such DVD in the works, the above is a JOKE ;)

The best thing about Ultracinese was the line about "can be performed with a borrowed nut and bolt"

Well I tried the water tip and I'm none the wiser  ...... and I looked on worldmagicstore's website and they don't appear to sell just the DVD :?

If anyone wants to PM me any tips (is it allowed ???) such as optimum position to attach the gimmick, how tight the strap should be, gripping technique whilst holding the nut and bolt (I've already figured out that the positioning of all of the fingers can make a difference) .... my list of questions is endless but any tips would be appreciated ..... best of all someone tell me where I can buy the DVD plzzz

Everything I heard about this product said it was pretty flaky and if you've accidentally bought one of the cheap knock-off version then you're pretty screwed. Unfortunately trial and error is your best bet or sell it on I'm afraid.

To be honest I don't know whether I've bought a copy or not. I ain't selling it, 'cos I when I do get it to work - it's quite impressive ... it looks like you're right though .... trial and error is my best bet until I can work out what works best
