Postby Johnny Bravo » Oct 13th, '04, 01:37

The Effect
Two magical vases allow you to perform an unusual & mystefying routine, where coins invisibly travel one by one, from vase to vase! - Well that's what the blurb says!

Cost
£3.50 (e bay)- £8.00 - (Beales/Bentalls)

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

Review
Mmm, I was somewhat disappointed with this when I got it.
2 black plastic vases (that look plastic) with upper & lower gold trim. You can begin the trick with the gimmick loaded or you can load the gimmick as part of the routine, the vases can't be examined by your audiance (or even show hole on). You can however turn them upside down to show there both empty.

You drop 3 - 5 coins (1p or 20p) in one vase & then with a magical wave turn up the other vase & the coin falls out, then empty out the coins in the first vase to show there's one coin less, pour into the 2nd vase & repeat etc. ala the coin squeeze routine.

In dim lighting, you'll need to be sure which is front & remember it, this really is a trick suited to younger kids, it's not really examinable & the coin squeeze is a far better routine/set.

Overall
3/10
