Melting Top Card

Postby Johnny Bravo » Oct 18th, '04, 00:35

The Effect
A small wallet is opened and shown to have two playing cards inside.
The picture card is removed and placed face-up on the palm of a spectator’s hand.

The Nine of Clubs is now removed from the wallet and placed face–down on top of the picture card. The top card is then turned over to reveal it is totally blank!
The final surprise comes when the picture card is turned face up - revealing the Nine of Clubs printed on the back.

Points to remember:
· Only two cards are used.
· No rough & smooth.
· No secret pockets
· No double cards.
· No false moves.
· The cards are totally examinable.
· The wallet is totally examinable.

Thus reads the blurb

Review
This trick is great, a superb self worker. It's so easy & the effect is wow, how was that done. You very minutely have to watch your cards as you remove them from the wallett & put them in your spectators hands but that's it.

Examination wise you can hand out the cards, then the wallet as soon as the trick has ended, just don't let them examine the cards & the wallet together, or if you see them start fiddling with cards & wallet grab 'em back & move on.

Alternativly you can reset the trick as part of the trick hence no examination required.

Overall
Brilliant. 10/10

Hmm for someone that is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, The Manchester Circle of Magicians and the Bolton Magicians Club, I don't expect to see him selling a secrets of David Blaine CD.
