Manchester Magic Clubs/Shops/Societies?

Postby MikeMagician » Aug 4th, '11, 02:34

Hey guys.

Was wondering, considering im 18 now and stuff - I know of the regional meetings and such. But was wondering if there are any good clubs or magic shops in Manchester?

Been looking around and heard of the Manchester Magic Circle in Salford but by looking at the website, Im not sure. Looking for something closer to the city centre.

Does anyone know of any places/usual contacts I can get hold off?

Cheers guys.

Mike.

Mike
That's a great club run by Derek Lever so there are lots of great lecturers there and the like. It's only about 1.5 miles out side the city centre and lots of busses run by it as well.

Obviously you are always welcome to come to the meets as well.

I don't know of any other clubs or shops in the city centre itself

I dont know anything about them but they are walking distance from town, just behind The Fort near the MEN Arena.

Interesting topic, are either of these groups suitable for keen newbies/amateurs?

Circle of Magicians let anyone join and the regional meet up meets suit all levels. You might learn more on these to be honest as you will have time for people to teach you things and you get to watch people performing in action for real people as well.

Hi I am also interested in these two clubs. As a beginner which one do you recommended?

Hi
I’m new on the site (today) and looking for an answer to the same question
Two Manchester societies
Two similar websites
One seems to have higher profile lectures
Anyone got experience of the Manchester circle or magi who can help me decide.
Im an amateur and beginner

Any thoughts?
