Amy Pond is hot. Karen Gillan is not. Acting at its finest!

Random thoughts...

Most of the Who stories have been way back in history, or way ahead in the future, or somewhere else in the universe so the story, actions and reactions etc can't be cross checked or disputed. One exception to this observation seems to be 'Fear Her' where Tennant's Who and Rose arrived in London to see the 2012 Olympic games. The episode was first broadcast in 2006, two years before the Beijing Games and six years before London but now that point in actual history has arrived and passed on. We now know for sure that the good Doctor didn't pick up the torch and light the stadium flame, the torch was a completely different design, as was the flame cauldron and, although tiny aspects such as the 'A' frame lights, were right, the Olympic Stadium looked rather different - it was actually filmed in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium so had some sort of connection with reality. The other bit they got right was that Huw Edwards would be commentating on the opening ceremony - and he did!

Alternative timeline plus the 'duplicate' Doctor who went off with Rose... complicated innit?

My favourite episode was the one where Doctor Who was taking a shower, and he bent over to pick up the soap and one of the Daleks came in a bit too quickly...

I forget what the episode was called now.

Doctor Who and the Passage of Terror? Something like that...

Ok so I'll admit that this is the first Doctor Who series I've been a little disappointed by (i thought the first two episodes were really lack lustre), however I am really excited by the reappearance of the weeping angels this Saturday (even if it does mean this is a really short season).

I was a little diasppointed by Saturdays episode. I felt that they didn't get to the crux of the story until right at the end. It was almost as if they were saving money on the special efects this time! Maybe its just me.
