Postby daleshrimpton » Oct 12th, '11, 13:02

MAGIC TRICKS
---------------------------------------------------------

Name: stick- it!

Available from: magic tao

Price: £21.99

Maker: Magic Tao

Examinable: Yes,

Difficulty: easy/ moderate depending on your handling

Out of 10: 8/10

Effect Imagine this.. you ask the spectator to think of any playing card. you then unbox a deck that has been sitting on the table from the start. You locate their card, and place it to one side. the spectator then examines the rest of the deck. they then turn over their selection, and stuck on the back is a large silver sticker with the words.. your card!
written on it. they then can be given everything to keep, as there is nothing to see.

Comments

I have been privy to the secret of this gem for some months, as a sample of the gimmick found it's way to my letter box, one saturday morning.
you couldnt possibly imagine how clever it is.And it's not something you could make yourself.

This is as strong, if not stronger than an I.D deck, and potentialy offers you a second choice for an out when things dont go according to plan.

available from Magic Tao..

Possibly stronger than an ID...how so?

the deck isnt gaffed, plus should you desire, you can give it away at the end.
:)

think about it... ID.. Their card is teh only one face down in a face up deck.

with Stick it.. their card is the only one in a deck with a sticker on the back.

I should add that, if you have a deck in play, there is no reason why you cant do this with your buseness cards.
have them chose one, write their name on it to personalize it, then there is a sticker on the back with your imitials.
The handling wouldnt be so clean, but its possible.

indeed, you could even use this WITH an ID for that special trick, not only was their named card turned over... it also has a sticker on the back!

so it doesnt have to be a deck of cards then?

Pictures could be used?

Though I haven't got this effect, I rather think that you would struggle to use pictures, unless you also had a deck in play too

Though I think the idea is great, the beauty of the ID is that there is absolute nothing hidden, you spread the cards, they take out the card and it's right.

There is no hidden promise..you do exactly what it would look like.

I would love to see this performed though. I just suspect there is some action or object that is not really supposed to be there.

There's a video on the site Lenoir.

Personally, I don't see this as coming close to the simplicity of the ID. It is a nice concept if it could be adapted to other uses.

Dale, do you think, once bought, it would be possible to in anyway 're-house' or re-build the gimmick into something other than its current form? I think you'll know what I mean by that.

basicaly... no. :) well, i can imagine that it could be possible to create gimmicks , but for now.... you need a card case on the table.

I think the main thing the ID has over this is that the ID can be in the box where as with this it looks like maybe the cards already have to be in play. Unless I've missed something?

It looks interesting though.

you have to take the cards out of the box , weather your doing the id, or this. Maybe i shouldn't of mentioned the ID. :)
