What they say

Peek-A-Boo is the brainchild of magician, performer, teacher and inventor, Bob Solari. The Peek-A-Boo deck is the most amazing marked deck on the magic scene today. It is a simple to use. You will know instantly the thought of card without seeing the face.
There are no difficult codes or marking system to learn.
You don't have to memorize anything!
Instantly read the card's identity.
With this DVD you will receive the "Deck" and the following four sure fire effects:
The Non Tossed-Out Deck
Everyone Has a Tell
EZ Mental
It Takes Two (Decks)
Professional magician Steve "Merlin" Branham expertly teaches each effect and the workings of the Peek-A-Boo deck.

Review

I bought this because of the description of the marked deck. I currently use a Fournier marked deck and am always conscious that I am swapping out the blue bikes I use for all of my card work for a completely different deck, and I have invented a number of excuses for this.

So, when I found an ad for a marked bike deck that
There are no difficult codes or marking system to learn.
You don't have to memorize anything!
Instantly read the card's identity.
I thought I had hit on what I was looking for. But you know what they say, “If it seems too good to be true then it probably is”
But to the positive first. It is advertised as a red deck but after an enquiry from me Costas ordered me a blue deck, added blue as an option to the order page on his site and dispatched the deck within 48 hours. Great service and I always appreciate good customer service.
Sadly to me the deck is a disappointment. Yes, it does exactly what it says on the tin. The markings do not need any effort to learn them, there is no memorising and they are easily read. Too easily for this to be used as a normal marked deck.
Basically you can only show the spectator the faces of the cards or the backs in a very limited spread or fan.
The spectator can only touch a card, not pick a card and the deck cannot be shuffled.
As I say, it does what it claims to do but is more or less a one trick pony and, because it can’t be used for any other tricks it is just another deck to carry around and switch in and out. If I have a busy gig where I need to vary the tricks I might use this but generally I am afraid it will stay in my case.
The DVD that comes with it is extremely good. It is well produced and explains exactly how to spread and fan the deck without giving the game away. But that said there so little you can do with this that the producers were left short of any real content. It is just 3 versions of the same trick plus a new reveal for the ID.

Overall

If it isn’t what I expected that is at least half my fault. I saw the demo and should have realised what I would get. But all in all not a good buy for me

5/10

I got one of these today, although mine was called the Peek Deck I am assuming it is the same or similar to the reviewers?

Everything above stands true although this one can be shuffled (overhand / hindu, not riffled). You can also show the faces of the cards in a spread, dribble etc.
Yes it is gaffed & you can't do a lot else with it but for an easy get a card chosen it's beautiful for its simplicity on the peek & at only a fiver (on ebay) you can't really go wrong.

Don't think this can be the same deck as the Peek A Boo deck because that definitely cannot be shuffled any way at all
