Important Information/Sticky's Thread

Postby Ant » Nov 24th, '11, 12:34

I am not sure if this would really work or not as each sticky is in it's relevant forum however some of the forums (miscellaneous in particular) has so many stickies, sometimes I miss that new posts have been made.

It may be useful to archive all this useful information in to a single forum.

Do you mean one separate room for all Stickies on the forum or one post area for Stickies in each room?

Stickies are the posts you can see at the very top of each Topic Board, marked with an Exclaimation Mark-in-a-Lightbulb Icon they're posts which are considered particularly important, and you should certainly browse/skim them, as an introduction to that Topic Board :D

I hardly ever see them as I only really search using the "new posts" search.

If you're up to speed, and have been a member for a while, I think this is the way that many TM'ers use the forum. For newer members, though, most seem to love to trawl all the the boards, looking for topics of interest; these guys get to see the relevant stickies for each board, which helps them get up-to-speed faster, I suspect.

From my POV, having the relevant stickies for each board at the very top of that board makes more sense than shunting them all away, into a seperate 'room', where they'll most likely be overlooked by those members who'd benefit from them the most.

Just my tuppence-worth :D
