Brief review of Tango's "Euro Hopping Halves"

Postby caubeck » Nov 27th, '04, 15:00

Note: I received this trick from a very reliable dealer on the understanding it was a 100% Spanish euro version, but it turned out to have one Italian face. Therefore I returned it. The following opinions were formulated after I contacted the seller to return the set.

Tango "Euro Hopping Halves":

Consists of five pieces of coinage, one small leather case, and instructions.

Price: Around 30 euros

Best source:

Tienda Magia (Barcelona)

Description: Typical hopping half effect. You have two coins in your hand, you put one in your pocket, it magically jumps back, etc. Very easy to do.

Personal opinion about this product:

The set includes 4 gaffs and one genuine coin (a 5 cent piece, currently worth 3 and a half British pence). Of the 3 e], only one is almost convincing. The others, including the janus, are so awful that you'd have to perform this trick via webcam on a misty hill to get away with it. The 20 cent [, when nested, look like another denomination of coin because they are so large.

Would it make a nice Christmas present for visually impaired children?:

It would be cruel.
