I just found this: Sally Morgan making a real mess of things on Richard Bacon's Radio 5 Live show. Warning - if you give readings, it'll make you cringe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNQtjepLlQQ

Psychic sally and Derek Acorah are the two worst and funniest (funny in a bad way), cold readers out there.

It's genuinely cringey to watch them in action, they nearly always miss and ask the most obvious and see through questions.

Watch Derek at his best.....I gurantee this will make you laugh.

Pure Scooby doo!

However, as we've observed many, many times, with 'psychic' matters it doesn't make any difference if the powers are real or faked, people will still believe and be adamant, almost hostile, about believing even when frauds are exposed as such.

One of the allied clips is with Paul Zenon and I like his summing up, along the lines of if a builder charges an old lady £500 to replace roof tiles which aren't missing we'd be very angry. Why do we then tolerate fake mediums that basically do the same thing, taking money for nothing at all?

I agree Mandrake, although there is a slight difference in my opinion....the hypothetical old lady is being straight up conned, she has no say in the matter, and is being unfairly victimized, taken advantage of her old age, possible immobility, etc....you get the picture. The fake mediums auidence on the other hand, the people who pay to go to see Sally, Derek and crew, are not being unfairly victimized, they are there because they want to be there, they are there by their own free will, unlike the old lady....so there is a difference.

To be honest, I'm sure some of them believe Sally is for real, but I mean c'mon how much evidence do they need, she misses all the time, she drives around in a big flashy range rover ( in it for the money, obviously), and charges ludicrous prices for admission. So yes, she's conning them, but they are there because they won't to be there, they have to either wake up and see here for what she is, or else they continue to look past the obvious evidence that she's a fraud, but then they can't really complain. We don't live in a rosy world where everyone is nice and honest.....so as sad as it is, in today's world stuff like this is to be expected.

You can't blame Sally for the audience being naive, yes she's taking advantage of it, which is wrong, but she's seen to be doing what she's doing to make her money, even if it is a dishonest way of earning. I don't know how she sleeps at night, I genuinely don't. I don't know how any of them do.....

Good points there Liam. If I can quote another well known name, Penn Gllette, he recently said that it's very easy to talk to the dead, in fact anyone can do it. The difficult bit is getting them to talk back!

I'm not one of those people who try to persuade people not to believe in a certain thing. I'm all for people believing in their own thing, but in the case of fake mediums, it's a lot different to simply believing in an afterlife. The fake mediums are in my opinion, desecrating the memory of the desceased for the sake of personal profit....which isn't on.

I watched one of Derek Acorah's old shows once and it was so funny watching him, he claimed the audience's dead relatives were stood next to him.....like one big queue....is that how it works, is it Derek? lol.

You've just got to laugh at these people, Mandrake. I'm of the opinion that their conscience will catch up with em' all sooner or later.
