If you have my work on Mentalism, you know that Kenton is one of my permanent inspirations. He has a really unique a different mind and several creations from him proves that. Now he offers a new eBook with great thoughts on how to approach what he calls " Genuine Amazement".

My opinion:

106 pages eBook, nice pictures to make the document nicer and a LOT of information on these pages. Basically "Genuine Amazement" is an exploration of philosophical ideas that can create a profound change in how you approach mystery arts and what Kenton calls "Indirection".I read the eBook a couple of times now and I really think that it deserves more readings. It´s that good.
Normally "serious" or "meaning" performances were synonym of long stories and almost always boring moments if you don't have the proper experience. Well, in here Kenton shares several secrets to understand meaning in a simple and direct way. Verbal techniques, proper mindset, thoughts on disclaimers, subtext and a lot more. The best of all is that simple to understand if you are really motivated to enhance your art.Be prepared and brave enough to change your mental structures and understand that your performances can be more deep in symbolism and meaning.

You will get also a few simple effects that are great examples in the concepts that Kenton shares. Direct methods and weird pieces with bells, envelopes, sugar packets, and other simple props that are very beautiful and symbolic.
With your purchase you will receive also a video download of a lecture that Kenton did on Magic & Meaning 2011. In that video you can see Kenton live sharing his thoughts and even "fool" some performers with some of his ideas (His drawing duplication worth the price).
