Thing is they know it's Derren giving them to drug.
I get the feeling if Derren just walked up to random people in the street and said "You... you there... are you afraid of spiders?... well hold this spider" there would be a high percentage of people do it.

Anyway, I'm a big believer in the placebo effect so I'm interested in this show (albeit so much so I also have the laptop on)
