Tight Squeeze

Postby roddy » Jun 9th, '12, 08:28

The Effect
Three solid pieces of brass are examined and assembled by a spectator into a small tube (which screws together, so that the brass block is trapped inside). Four Ten pence pieces are placed into the tube and are stopped by the centre piece of brass. At the magicians command the coins will one by one pass through the solid brass right into the spectators hand! A visible penetration of four coins through solid brass. Very easy to perform.

Cost £11.99 from magicbox

Difficulty 1
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

Review Works exactly as described above.

Overall
An extremely well made product which can be performed immediately and will last for years. Anyone who enjoyed Dynamic Coins should love this as it is much more examinable i.e. the spectator can assemble the three components themselves

I have the Tango coin squeeze. It's beautifully made. I've only performed it a few times and people would just immediately guess the method. Of course, this could be me not performing it well, but I did practise it a lot, and the moves aren't especially difficult.

I'm not criticising these effects based on my two performances. I'm just wondering if I should put the time and effort into performing it.

Anyone on here who performs with a coin squeeze (any brand) and find that they are able to get good reactions? Or is the method just too obvious?
