My first review:
The Effect
Landmark by Liam Montier
They say:
Effect
You remove a small stack of 'Landmark' business cards and have one selected by the spectator. Asking if anything particular influenced them, you flip the selection over to reveal it has "PICK ME!" written on the back.
But that's not all!
To the astonishment of all, you then pick up the rubber band that the packet was bound with, and make it form the shape of their selected Land Mark!!
A true kicker that NOBODY sees coming!
Be warned that the bands are NO LONGER AVAILABLE and when these have gone, they have gone. We currently have less than a dozen in stock, so email if you wish to check stock before you purchase.
Cost £10 from tricktastic.com
Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)
I'd give it a 1 - 1.5, fairly straightforward
Review
I've been using Landmark for a month or two now, the effect is simple but hits hard. You only need very basic slights and most of the effect is in the presentation ( like all good effects!). For me the simplest presentation is the most satisfying.
To say much more would be too much exposure but I would recommend this to anyone who has a mentalist/mental magic bent, you should know from the description whether it will suit your style.
Overall
An excellent effect, 10/10
