What it says:A revolution in card to envelop effects. No longer do you need to carry an expensive, oversized wallet to have an impossible location for a signed card to appear.
A plastic envelope is shown to contain a sealed paper envelope. Inside this is the signed card, bank note, ring etc.
Everything you used to do with your wallet and more is possible with PET
What you receive:2 x PET (a clear one and a black one)
20 x red chinese envelopes
Review:The PET (Plastic Envelope Thing) is an inexpensive and practical alternative to the magicians standard of a card to wallet. It is much less bulky, it is lightweight, and much more convenient to carry with you.
The set up is easy and will only take you a few seconds. The load is quick and easy with everything I have tried so far (cards, coins, banknotes, rings).
The props don’t come with any instructions other than how to prepare the paper envelopes, but to be quite honest it doesn’t need it. Anyone who has been in magic more than 5 minutes will understand exactly how to use the PET - however there is an instructional video available online which explains how to operate the prop (anyone who has ever used a card to wallet will be able to operate this instantly) and does give a couple of suggestions on routines, although doesn’t go into details. Personally I think this is good however as it encourages individual inspiration for uses of the PET and already my mind is working through a few different ideas.
Personally, I only have one downside to this prop. It is fractionally too small to use with the larger Bonsall Magicians envelopes which is what I hoped I would be able to do (which are also compatible with my JOL wallet). My intention was to have my JOL and my PET set up at the same time. Who knows, maybe in future if it goes for a freshen up, it may be made to utilize the Bonsall envelopes, however this is merely just my personal desire.
OverallThis is a fantastic utility prop and a very welcome addition to any magicians arsenal, and is fantastically commercial. This is going straight into my pocket and will be used a lot. I’m really excited to get this going.
The PET receives a rating of
9/10 from me, only losing a point because of he compatibility issues with the Bonsall Envelopes.
