Just want to agree with those who have put forward the Boris Wild Deck and the UMD as good marked decks. I used the Boris deck for some time before switching to the UMD which is a lot easier to read. But they're both good. Funnily enough, I can't find either of them at the moment.

I use the Fournier cards... they're so easy to read that it's almost impossible to be caught looking at them!

I did a little routine a few nights ago, starting off with Paul Voodinis "You read my mind" followed by "OOTW". Whilst only only of these needs the 505m cards, I used the same deck for them both (before switching to a Fournier ID to finish with another lovely Voodinin piece "From a Garden Darkly") The point is... both "You read my mind", and "OOTW" are tricks where the backs of the cards are on display quite prominently for the whole time. In fact, the backs of the cards are even concentrated on by the helpful spectators. I did both of these tricks in a very slow and unhurried way, and the markings weren't noticed at all!

So I guess I have to recommend the Fournier cards! :)

Can the Fournier be read from a spread?

Many to choose from.

The Fournier's are £10.00
The UMD's are £14.99 on eBay.

Although making one's own is a good idea, & cheaper. I think I'll opt for one of these.
For the sake of another £4.99 the UMD does look like a good buy.

What do you think.

The Boris Wild's get my vote, especially if you usually use Bikes, very nice and subtle imo

Are you watching closely? Then I'll begin...

Another vote here for Boris Wild's deck. Can be read from a spread with ease.

The only marked deck I use is Cataclysm.
I explain about marked decks and subtle markings. I have a card box with the words "marked deck" in big letters on the box.
I ask if they can see the subtle markings..... they see a big number 17, then a big number 10, etc. written in black felt pen on the back of the cards... lol

I have tried a number of marked decks and have failed to find any that can be read by those of us with poor eyesight. I use only one effect that needs a marked deck. With proper handling the crowd never see the backs of the cards. So I got a regular deck and a sharpie, and wrote the number of each card in inch high letters on the back. I have never got caught, either close-up or stage.

The UMD's are £14.99 on eBay.
Not any more, cheapest I can see them at is £20 + £4 postage.

I'm going through a bit of a marked deck fad, at the moment I tend to make my own. I do love the Ted Lesleys ones & having just bought & read the hidden in plain sight marked deck book I now no how the BW deck markings work & I love them, but again £20 for a deck is too much, I want all my decks marked so I can or cannot use them as I choose.

Anyone have the BW & the UMD, can you do a comparison if so please?

I really love the Phoenix marked decks, the marks are beautifully hidden in the back design and its really easy to read.
I considered doing the same as you... Having all my decks be marked so I could always use them as and when I needed them. However that never happened!

A friend once gave me some advice, if you own 4 decks of cards, use 1 deck solidly for a week then move on to a new deck and keep rotating, by the time you come back to the first deck it has recovered from the previous weeks use and will be as good as new.
I've found this to be true, but I couldn't get into a good habit of doing this, after a quite a few months I just stopped rotating...
So technically you would only need a few marked decks if you wanted to always use marked cards.
