Possible new routine?

Postby Lee Smith » Sep 5th, '12, 17:30

This is a possible new routine (in progress) I came up with this morning.

Not a magician fooler.

Needs work and this is not ideal as filmed on iphone so I had do adjust for the camera angles but you should see the idea. I think this has some nice moments and transpositions.

I prob will remove the video soon as the routine develops.

Lee.

Thanks guys,

Most of my routines start out like this. I have cleaned this up a bit more now and I think I will put the final version on a new project that will be being filmed later this month. I will work it for a bit longer to iron out the creases and prob add another phase.

Really like it. Like the cc where you integrate pushing the card forward into the patter. I don't know where I got the phrase but somewhere I read someone talking about design saying "if you can't hide it, hang a flag on it". In other words if you can't make something ugly invisible, then it's best to draw attention to it and make it look deliberate instead. Clever. Would like to hear more about how you put all this together, it really flows well to me (a rank amateur).

Thanks guys,

Glad you all like the concept.
This came together as me and Gary are filming a new project themed around sleights. And part if the project was to put some routines together using the sleights we are teaching. So I came up with this as one of them.

I worked this a couple of times today and it went great.
