I've recently been given a tubes of kuma set (two steel tubes and a goldfish bowl).
I seem to remember Tommy cooper doing a routine with them. but cant find it on youtube. Anyone got any idea where I can see it, or any other comic routines with them?

If you have the means to backtrack though the Paul Daniels Shows--he did perform it.
The only comedy you can add is , surely is:
Getting the Tubes stuck in each other; pushing your arm through one and getting your arm 'stuck'; Also on your head (all this depends on you and your style of comedy)
and producing 'things' from the goldfish bowl, a line of washing, a funny rabbit, a large rubber fish, one of those folding poles perhaps with a piece of string attached and a goldfish on the end of it etc. BEFORE you produce the bowl itself. When the bowl appears, you take out the goldfish off the pole and bite through it--chewing it with great enjoyment--a carrot shaped like fish of course.

It was the only trick I ever ordered and paid for tht NEVER arrived.

Back in the early 70's I ordered it from Gi Leaney--sent a cheque and nothing.
He wrote saying he had a postal slip for it but I never saw this.
I was told at the time that GL was going through financial difficulties!!

And never heard anything else UNTIL:
Earlier this year I was selling an effect to a magician down South. Talked about the Tubes of Kuma and he bought a load of stuff and found my letter to Gil Leaney re the Tubes.!!
