I would give this a 1, you can literally read this and learn the principle. Then, memorise the script which in its raw form is pretty short and go out and perform it straight away. But, being the creative, talented and original mentalists that you are though, I am sure that you would never do such a thing.

Review (What I say)

When I first read the blurb on this I was highly sceptical. It states that you ask 3 people to think of a secret and then without any pre show or anything being written, peeked, pumped or fished you proceed to read their minds!?

That’s surely just got to be ‘magicians advertising’ right? I mean if you could actually do that, then it would have to be real mind reading? If you could actually do that, then wouldn't it be the Holy Grail of mentalism surely?

Well I read it, sceptical as I was at first, and was amazed to discover that it lives up to its tall claims. By the end of it I was grinning like a maniac. The principle is so simple yet so powerful. Why didn't I think of this? I first read it Saturday evening and have since read it another 3 times as well as Luke Jermays Touching on Hoy again. I have been constantly thinking about this principle since. I have already got some ideas for my own scripting and presentation that is going to make it even stronger.

Anthony is a very clever man, he thinks out of the box and what he has done in my opinion is this…
He has taken Luke Jermays – Touching on Hoy principle and evolved it in very much the same way that Luke evolved the classic Dunninger ploy.
Touching on Hoy is in itself a very powerful piece of mind reading, Luke describes it thus… “It is one of the few genuine gestalt epiphanies in my creative life” and to quote mentalist Chester Sass; "Anthony released a real gem to our community. He took Luke Jermays TOH idea, twisted it, took away the dirty work and made it personal to everybody.”

Just think for a moment about how powerful this is!

Overall

I give this a 9/10. It loses a point due to one small criticism. I don’t think that the script that is provided with the principle does it anywhere near the justice that it deserves. However, as we’re all going to be developing our own presentations then I can forgive that on this occasion.

First negative review since being on sale from November 2012...had to happen some time I suppose

Everyone else has enjoyed the method and thinking behind this, and I have never been 'caught out' using it.

Seeing as you only just brought a copy, I would suggest you at least give it a try, even if it's just to friends/family and see what sort of response you get.

What may seem very obvious to us as performers, is often not the case for others.

You may change your mind then...

Also, please be careful when reviewing not to come too close to exposure thanks.

Am I at least allowed to say that the revelation isn't actually something the specs actually thought about themselves or wrote on a billet etc... and that the revelation is not made specifically to any given spectator?
