X - Act by Mike Kirby and Mark Mason

Here's the link to the product:

Anyone got this - it just looks AWESOME ...... well I'm wondering if the vid is one of those that misleads ..... and I'm sure we've all seen plenty of those  .

I have absolutely no idea how this is done, although the delay in dealing the cards out, does seem somewhat suspicious to me  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I know for certain that this effect is exactly the same as 'Five star prediction' by Al Koran. You can find it explained on Osterlinds ETMMM's volume 2. The method in ETMMM'S requires no sleights etc etc. It requires a gimmick that is easily made yourself. Not convinced this trick uses the same method but the end result is the same. I can tell you that the Koran version is virtually self working!!

Thanks for that :)

I've just found another effect and was wondering how different/similar these 2 are.

it's Think by Shin Lim and looks very similar:

Just a quick question about "X - ACT" - is the prediction card the same every time ?? I'm just wondering if this trick can be repeated to the same audience ??

I don't own the X-act but I know the Koran version limits the selection. More than one card can be chosen but you wouldn't want to repeat the effect to an audience. I actually do the Koran version in my stage act as part of a sequence of 'test conditions' card effects increasing in impossibility. The Koran effect is my final test. You don't end clean but in a stage setting its irrelevant. I'm not sure you would finish clean in the X-act? It doesn't look like it to me but I could be wrong? The other effect by Lin looks like it ends clean but I suspect there may be a 'mxxxxxe oxt'? Either way, they're both old effects but with similar/different methods.

Call me old fashioned but the Koran version is simple, direct and virtually self working so I'll be sticking to that!

This has been playing on my mind. I can't work out how it's done so I've ordered it in a moment of madness. I'll review it once it arrives!!
