The Effect

A card is shown by the magician or selected by a spectator, I prefer to do it this way however this is not in the instructions, but most people would be able to easily adapt the trick to be done this way. The card is then signed (a sticker is signed then placed on the card) or the card can be signed (but this results in the trick being more expensive in the long run, as the card is not ordinary and it would need to be replaced, but for a working professional this is easily affordable but it doesn't enhance the trick as the signed card cannot be examined and the spectator can therefore not keep the card as a souvenir). The card is placed aside, a four of a kind is found in the deck (court cards) and these 4 cards are placed in the card box. The selection is placed inside an envelope which is then placed on the table or in a spectators outstretched palm. The card vanishes from the envelope then appears between the four court cards inside the card box.

Cost

I bought this from http://www.magicworld.co.uk for £9.99

Difficulty
(1=No sleights, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used, 4=Advanced sleights used, 5=suitable for experienced magicians only)

Strictly speaking this is a 2/3, however it is really easy with a bit of misdirection and some subtleties that are easy to come up with. Although you don't really need them as the spectator will never spot anything.

Review

Well the trick is fantastic as the effect gets great reactions, however there is a setup and the signed card cannot be examined during or after the performance, but for table hopping this effect is great. It is really easy and fun to perform it is one if those tricks that fool yourself when you are doing it in the mirror. I really like this and I will be using this.

Overview

Overall this trick gets 9 out of ten from me as it is a great effect and you are supplied with everything but a deck of cards and a pen. The dvd is only 17.5 mins long but you get a bonus drawing duplication/mind reading effect. Value for money is great with this and there is only a small setup, but I don't like the fact that the spectator can't examine the card during or after the effect but the heat is mainly on the four of a kind at the end and the sticker can be given a a souvenir. Overall I really like it and highly recommend it to everyone performing any kind of magic. Great trick!
