Pricing isn't an issue for me yet as the website has only been on Adwords for about three weeks. I've got two weddings booked and an interview tomorrow for a summer residency at a local restaurant. That's all stemmed from clicks via google. £250 is the minimum I can work to. I understand that without a comprehensive price plan I won't be able to up the price without getting some criticism. I'm happy for this whilst I get established. I have a full time job (which I hope to eventually leave) so I'm not overly worried. What is of most concern to me is establishing my name/presence in the local/surrounding areas, and getting steady custom. Once I've archieved that and analysed how my site is performing then I'll think more carefully about tweaking price structures. I'm literally doing one change at a time and leaving it for a bit, to see if it changes things. That way, I hope to optimise my advertising and get the most money for the most shows. I'd rather do 10 shows at £250 per month than one show at £500. There's no scientific formula to find the tipping point so I just have to see what works for me. No doubt the pricing will change as I get more data!
I'll probably wait a month or two and remove all pricing from my site and see what happens to the click to call ratios. At least then I'll have scientific data to point to what works best for my site.
