I have one of these in my collection. and I would love to share some thoughts.......

The Sand Wand

Around £20.00

Difficulty

(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

well, to be honest, this wonderfull, and hard to get Item, is something that is as difficult as the effect you perform with it.
It is, as the description sugests a tool , which enables you to controll cards, whilst they are in the spectators hands.
It's main use, that being depositing a small amount of sand descreetly, is an old idea, and can be found in many of the clasic card books.
It's definatly one of those, so old it's new! Items.

For the collectors, this makes a fine item, and a definate magical antique of the future,as Granville doesnt make that many.

for the performer, this wand adds a little class, even if you don’t use it for its main function.
This is curently on Ebay, but is usualy available from the craftsman who makes them, Granville Taylor's ( a.k.a Faust the magician) web site, Tyalormade magic.

the current ebay link is here.

I couldnt find a website to Granvillle Taylor or Faust the Magician (although I like the Taylor made advertising line. Very sweet).

silly me. his website was listed on the ebay page.

Granville Taylor

I must admit I do like the look of the wand, but am not convinced I would use it as it is intended. I think a b.c. would cover most situations that the wand could be used for.
