Coinvexed 3.0

Postby moonbeam » Feb 24th, '13, 22:36

To be honest, I'm not really into coins and I've never been a huge fan of coin bending routines; but I've always had my eye on coinvexed (the earlier versions), but I've never been brave enough to click on "add to cart" .............. this new version looks awesome ...........
What's so different about this version - does anyone have this yet ??
Does it really do what it says ??
I have no idea how it works, but do the coins actually bend in the spec's hands like it says ?? I'd hate it, if I forked out £100 for something that was simply a case of coin switching, or some other simple (ish) method.
It's my birthday in just over 2 weeks - this could/would/should (take your pick) make a nice lil' pressie to me from my missus, if I drop her a big enough hint, assuming I get the thumbs up on here :P

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I don't know what's different, but I will say this, with coinvexed 2 you're able to have the coin bend 'in their hand' (that's the illusion you create). Unless it's a special coin, (which in my mind will make the effect weaker) I don't see how a normal borrowed coin can really bend while in the hand.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I guess this was demoed at Blackpool, I didn't get anywhere near their stand but I daresay others did and will be able to offer their thoughts. I have to say this though, do we really need yet another coin bender gizmo - surely there are enough on the market already? Perhaps we're seeing the same thing as with wallets, the ultimate until the next one is released then that becomes the ultimate and so on.

I don't own coinvexed 2.0 but I've seen it in action and know how it works. It's a fairly sound principle that doesn't use toooooo much pocket real estate. I've been considering buying it for a while but I've had higher things on my magic agenda. I really can't see how Coinvexed 3.0 could improve upon the last version?? But I've been wrong before!

From the sound of things it is evolution rather than revolution.

Yeah but according to who? The guy selling it?

Alright looking at the video, and listening really hard to what he's saying, and I have to talk carefully hear to avoid exposure, but I think he's redesigned the coinvexed sharpie edition to be more 'sharpie-ish'.

So it's a more invisible and possibly lighter gimmick, one that maybe can be handled by the spectator or at least left in plane view, and It sounds like the second coin bending will be a routine improvement rather than a gimmick thing.

I've had the coinvexed 2 gimmick for an insanely long time, there's never been an item of this size that I haven't lost in a few years, I've never had my credit card expire, I've always lost it before it could. I've never had any jewelry for longer than a year. I've had my coinvexed 2 for over six years, I've never lost or misplaced it. I've had it for so long the 'paint' has all but vanished and it looks silver, I take it everywhere I go, that's how highly I value the gimmick.

So if I'm right and the only improvement is the gimmick is more invisible, If I'm right and the second bend is achieved through routine rather than gimmick then I can say it's probably not worth getting if you already have a coinvexed 2. It's as invisible as it needs to be and it's not difficult to routine it in a way that you can bend both coins or do what I and many others do and just use one.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I have the original Coinvexed 1. I skipped the 2nd edition & to be fair to the guy selling them on their Blackpool stall he showed me the difference & told me if I'm happy with the original there's not much point in buying the new one. As you say it's just more Sharpie like, the colour is more precise & it fits on a Sharpie, the only other thing is there's more routine ideas on the dvd. No one has ever seen my Coinvexed gimmick, even though it's disguised, it's so small that I don't even flash it. Coinvexed 2 evolved it into one half Sharpie, 3rd generation improves the look of the gimmick but as I say, no one sees it anyway so i think if magic for magicians exists then this is a case of improvements for magicians.

So for those of us who don't have coinvexed (either previous version) and are interested in this sort of gimmick what is the problem?

Both CVs did an excellent job so if you don't have a coin bender and need one then the latest version would seem to be a good purchase. The earlier versions are sometimes sold via the Trading Area or Ebay so there may be bargains to be had in that way.

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Just a quick question, the answer to which may just push me over the edge to succumb to the CUPS:
I think I've worked out where and when the bend takes place (I'm sure we're all guilty of trying to suss the methods, etc), but I'm not too sure how the bend occurs. Anyway, my question is, does the bend happen quickly (ish) and what difficulty level are we looking at here, is it fiddly, etc ??

..... and how much pocket space does it take up, as I have limited space ??

If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
