Writing 365 (sic) cards in a diary, it must take ages.

I realised that I bought this about 10 years ago, but was put in the cupboard and forgotten about, as I was doing another diary trick at the time.
I'm glad i've dug it out and discovered it again after buying the Heirloom bonus pack and It really does baffle.
However, my insructions don't include the Richard Osterlind and Richard Gerlitz routines that are now advertised. Can anyone let me know how these handlings differ?

Although I came up with the idea of the Heirloom photos for Chronologue I must admit I have never used them in anger... is the reaction that different?

If we can hit that bullseye then the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards... Checkmate!

So you use the diary plus a wallet?

The wallet is casually sitting, unnoticed on the table... 50/50 whether I use it or not!

For general information, if you can't afford the appropriate wallet you could use Piatt envelopes.

I purchased Mental Miracles by Bob Cassidy recently (excellent DVD) and made up my own Chronologue. It took me about two hours to write out my diary and it was well worth it; I've been getting some incredible reactions to this effect.

This looks exciting - but a couple of questions. How does this compare with 'Birthday Detector' - is it the same thing in a different guise? Same question re Paul Gordon's 'Gordon Diary'.

Chronologue

Postby Allen Tipton » Jun 14th, '08, 14:08

:D The beauty of Chronologue is
1. Nothing to memorise.
2. It's always reset.
3. No moves. Just one decision to make. left or right.

It is, as the description is printed: Name ANY date in a year.
Diary out. They look up the date. Check the other cards on the pages they open are different.
They can remove the 'prediciton' envelope.Or you could.
Open the envelope. There's the card.

No fishing. No adding up numbers, No choosing cards to make up a date, No forcing. Totally free choice of date.. Just.
Name a date. Open the diary. read out the card. here it is. 8)

I hope you ordered the DVD; it represents far better value for money and the other effects on the disc are also rather good. Yes, you have to prepare your own diary, but I see it as a labour of love rather than a chore. And you also get to choose your own style of diary, which also has your handwriting in it. :D

bod casidy mental miracles dvd

That's what I ordered as the other items looked good too. I'm happy to make up my own diary / birthday book; I did it for Paul Gordon diary and, as you say, something personal looks better than a simple printed version (in my opinion). In fact I used an old battered leather birthday book I picked up at a car boot sale for a couple of quid. It had a few birthday entries, but small writing and it made the Gordon diary trick look more genuine somehow. Thanks for you comment.
