it's all my fault

Postby blamejoe » Feb 14th, '05, 12:48

hi from blamejoe... whatever it is, I did it.

Wanted to introduce myself. I have been looking online for a while for a magic forum, but never really dedicated myself to the task til this morning. Glad to find TalkMagic.

I work in psychiatry, and one newcoming method for certain mental disorders is through the use of closeup magic. It holds the attention, repairs neural pathways, and stimulates neurochemical production as well as various cognitive applications. This is good for me, because I have been doing card tricks since I was 12.

Unfortunately other sleight of hand magic eludes me, even something simple and useful as making a ring disappear, and I would really like to get proficient at it. Resources for someone of my schedule are limited, so I hope to find a lot of good help here! Off the cuff, my transition from trick to trick isn't so great, and I need a way to escape all the people who prod to "see it one more time"...

Anyway, the point is I'm really glad to have found TM and hope to learn a lot! Thanks for having me.

do you do house-calls you see my certificate runs out next week

do an internet search for false transfers that will get your ring thingy sorted, i could suggest j sankeys ultimate coin magic and mark wilson xcyclopedia of magic as good starters depending on wether you prefer dvd or book.
failing that you can always pm me to see if i can help.

magicdiscoman, thanks for the tips. if you like I can have you committed here in the states, and then I can make sure they don't wrap the restraints too tight! lol.
