As promised!!!

The Effect

This is what they say:

The Final Answer In Coin Bending!" Morgan Strebler

When David Penn released his Coinvexed coin bending gimmick, it established itself as the number one choice for professional magicians and mentalists all over the world. Coinvexed Third Generation takes the project even further with an improved gimmick and a DVD featuring three real world working routines.

In David Penn's double coin bend routine, a spectator signs a coin, which can be borrowed. Then something very extraordinary happens as they feel the coin bend within their own hands. The reactions for this are incredible as the coin is also signed! A second signed coin then bends whilst being isolated under their palm, on a table top. The spectator can then keep the coins as a souvenir, which freezes the moment for them forever.

No switches! The coins that the spectator has signed are the same coins that bend. Only the coins and the sharpie are seen and the sharpie can be used by the spectator to sign the coin. No special chemicals! Just diabolically clever gimmicks that hide in full view.

Get ready to unleash the ultimate signed coin bend on your audience! Reactions are guaranteed!

"Just when I thought my favourite coin bending gimmick couldn't get any better, David Penn has literally shattered my expectations! The new 'Coinvexed Double Coin Bend' routine is the final answer in coin bending! It is going straight into my set! This will be the first new material from another artist in my show, for two years. It's that damn good!"

Morgan Strebler

"That's F###ing Awesome! Can I Get That Now?"

David Blaine

"This takes the original (and great!) Coinvexed tool and gives it an extra 50%.

The original was very clever but this just takes the biscuit!"

James Brown - Winner of The Magic Circle Close Up Magician of the Year"

"In short, this is superb. The ultimate solution to the bending coin plot. It ticks all the right boxes - commercial, deceptive and extremely memorable. Very highly recommended!"

INCLUDED:

Two precision made gimmicks

HD DVD Featuring:

Double Coin Bend Routine

Single Coin Bend

Optical Bends

Psychology Explained

Cost £95.00 once you add in all that nasty VAT and postage etc.

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

3 in my view. Requires misdirection and has to be presented competently to be believed/bought into by your spectators.

Review

I was lucky enough to see someone perform coinvexed 2 for me and I was floored/fooled by it. I had a look at the gimmicks and was immediately convinced that it would fit straight into my strolling repertoire. I wanted to buy it but couldn't find it anywhere. I was therefore quite thrilled to see the 3rd generation come out. What can I say about this other than its amazing. I abolutely love it. The gimmicks come nicely boxed, are clearly precision engineered and do exactly-ish what they say on the tin (more of that later). The DVD is great quality and David Penn goes into good detail around getting the bend in, how to misdirect, a little note on eqivoque and some othe nice handling touches. There's also a couple of additional routines to fire your created juices - including a nice hypnosis based one. If you already have reality is plastic or the manchurian DVD as I do then this will be easy for you to perform straight away.

This isn't a downside but it's worth mentioning. Here is my opinion on the ease/difficulty of bending each UK coin with Coinvexed 3.

£1 coin = Impossible. Don't bother.

50p = Bloody difficult, but possible.

20p = Easier.

10p = Extremely easy to bend.

5p = Strangely impossible.

2p = Difficult but possible with good technique.

1p = Extremely easy to bend.

I only mention this as I know some people were worried about Coinvexed 3 working well with UK coins. I can state categorically that UK coins are fine, baring in mind the above. I know that some people struggle with technique and this is covered slightly in the DVD. If you do the double coin bend routine you could literally walk a brass band in front of the spec's and they wouldn't notice what you're doing. I don't profess to be an expect, but I am getting decent bends in every single time. If anyone owns this and is struggling, please contact me and I'll give you my skype details. Show me yours - and I'll show you mine - ooer missus!!

HOW DOES COINVEXED 3 DIFFER FROM COINVEXED 2??????

I can't really answer that without tipping the method/gimmicks. Suffice it to say, it differs very little - so much so you might not even notice. However, it's new, shiny, and has more routine stuff on the DVD. PM me if you specifically need to know for whatever reason.

Overall

Stroke of genius. Real worker. Won't leave home without it - ever. If you don't own it, why don't you own it?

As it happens if you only want the gimmicks they are selling them individually. I have a cracking idea for a routine which I promise to film in the not too distant future.

Happy bending!

Pip-pip

Thanks for the great review ...... now this is really screaming "buy me" after reading this.

Hmmm ...... do I ...... or don't I ????

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I have CV2 and have no trouble bending both 2ps and 5ps.

I have no need to upgrade, but I do covet the new routines, and it's a pity that they could not be made available to CV2 users.

I wonder weather the gimmicks are slightly different? There is no way I could bend a 5p with coinvexed 3, but maybe my technique is off? BTW I don't think you're missing out on the the extra routines. They're just variations on the basic principle. Having said that, the cost of coinvexed alone should see you get something when it's upgraded.

Although I believe there is a Facebook group??

Excellent, I shall look it up. There used to be a forum just for CV2 users, but I haven't used it for ages and the link doesn't seem to work any more.

I use coinvexed 2 all the time, love it. Working a couple of nights ago. Usually borrow a penny or 10p although 2p's aren't too bad (older 2p's work better than modern ones due to the metal content, same with the new 10p). None of the people at the table had change I wanted and ended up using a 5p, totally forgot how difficult they are too bend, thankfully I had lots of misdirection and managed it.
Would people who have 2 and 3 recommend an upgrade. Can anyone tip what is different without giving anything away?

I don't have either this or coinvexed 2. Now that they're both out and tested a bit... Which do we tm-ers prefer, 2 or 3?

Well, they both so the same thing pretty much and you can't buy C2 for love nor money so if you want to join in the fun it's C3 only. I think they're both awesome!!

I always fancied CV2, and when it became unavailable, someone on another forum suggested joining a group on Facebook, called Second Hand Magic(plenty of well known names are members).
I applied to join the group, was accepted, and 2 CV2s came up within a month. I bought one for £50, just as CV3 was released.
