Hi guys 22 : AH/SH crossover here. I'm currently working in the Essex area, but a bit new to the business part of magic.

I'm here to learn more and expand my knowledge base, make a few friends and see what happens.

Anyone happen to know how to get access to the restricted section?

Hi and welcome to TM!. As for the Restricted Areas, the front page explains:

Access to Restricted Area
Access to the restricted area will be granted to members who have shown a basic knowledge of magic together with quality contributions (reviews are a good example). Currently granted by moderators of the site.

Generally we look for at least 50 quality posts over a period of time - sadly we found that many who joined in the early days and were granted access were just secrets seekers/stealers so the forum owner insisted on new access requirements a while ago.

Thanks for the info mandrake. I understand entirely about keeping certain information away from people. I have ,any friends who wanted me to teach them magic. I managed to dissuade them by asking them to learn the French drop, at which point they lost all interest and never brought it up again.

That aside I shall endeavour to put at least 50 posts of good content up.
