What they say

Watch the trailer to see this amazing effect in full! A named card appears inside a matchbox. Inferno includes the matchbox, cards, and everything you need to perform the effect. It also includes a DVD starring Joshua Jay, in which he teaches every facet of the routine in clear detail. It's a thought-of card in matchbox effect, and you should know the following points:

1. ALL you need for each performance is the matchbox. No cards are palmed in, and you don't have any kind of index. It's totally self-contained inside the matchbox.

2. There is no sleight of hand to speak of. If you follow along with the DVD once, you will be ready to perform the effect. There are a few things to remember, but technically, the effect is quite easy.

3. Everything is examinable at the end. When you're done, the spectator is holding her thought-of card, and the matchbox it came from. And, both props are totally legit.

4. Although the demo shows a close-up performance of Inferno, in fact the effect plays just as well (if not better) in a parlor situation. There are also no angle restrictions whatsoever. Do it surrounded if you like.

Rarely does an effect come about that fits in a shirt pocket and can be done anytime, anywhere. We hope you enjoy Inferno, and we know your audiences will.

My thoughts

Rarely these days does an effect stand out to me that I want to play with. I was intrigued by the trailer as the effect looked very clean and other magicians has said I should check it out.

If you like what you see in the trailer you will love the effect. What you see is what you get.
It comes with props and all you need to perform straight away. Pocket space of obviously minimal (match box size)

The props are very well made and all is well explained on the DVD.
I have changed the handling to fit my style and I think other might as well. But the handling taught is easy to do and very well explained.

Over all I cannot find a fault with this, it has been very well thought out and clearly worked many times. I will be using this.

10/10

This sounds very good indeed! Quite a variety of prices, and shipping costs, from various suppliers so well worth shopping around.

You won't regret it. This had taken a classic effect and an under used plot and really cleaned it up and simplified things.

Is it possible to elloborate on the props without exposing too much?
From my initial thought it doesn't look like it needs any gimmickery

I have changed the handling for this a lot. It starts and ends completely clean.

I have worked this a few times now. I really can not fault it.

The more I play with this the more Ideas I have.

Gimmee a break guys, I'm trying hard not to order anything new until closer to the Festive Season when friends and family ask what they can buy for me but you folks are chipping away at my determination very successfully... I can see that submit button looming larger and clearer every second....

This popped through my door today & was gonna do a review here but I see one has already been done. I concur with the above, lovely little effect & parts of it can certainly be used towards other stuff.
Recommended.
