Isabella's Star 2

The EffectIsabella’s Star 2 by Peter Turner
In a nut shell you divine someone’s birthday. The book presents this as a nice piece of storytelling which should get the spectators emotions up.
The book however is so much more than just divining someones thought of birthdate.
The method is broken down into a few phases and the book gives you loads of tools to accomplish each phase. These tools are great and have uses beyond the routine.
Cost
I got it on preorder which was about £30 from magicbox.co.uk
There was a slight delay in the publishing but they sent out an ebook version while we waited

Difficulty(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

I would say a 2, but as there are so many options it could easily be done in a more complex way if you felt like it.

ReviewJust to clarify, I bought this and whilst I have met Peter Turner (once for a beer and some mentalism chat) I don’t know him or have any reason to plug his material, he is a nice guy by the way 
The book also give you lots of variations on the effect, using a crib, not using a crib, added bonuses and little subtelties.
Any of you who have any of Peter’s stuff or have met him know how powerful his effects are, this is no different.
If you have Isabella’s star 1 you might think that this is a waste of money but trust me it is certainly not. Also, you don’t need isabellas star 1 as the entire Isabella’s star 1 and 2 routines are included in this book
If you are using the crib you need to make up a little notepad but the instructions are given and a link to a pdf for printing the crib is also given.

The actual routine is really great but it does not suit my current style so I tweaked it a little to suit myself. Luckily there is more than enough info in the book to allow anyone to tweak this to suit their style.

OverallThis is a great effect and the book contains so much in the way of methods and subtelties that it is well worth the asking price. I buy a lot of ebooks and am often left feeling ripped off. This is one of the few physical books on mentalism that I have bought and I am really happy I did.
The effect is super strong and gets great reactions
It is really good value and I would recommend it in a flash…Good work Peter, can’t wait till you release that thought of name revelation you pulled on me when we met.
