Wow, i just got this, and it's fair to say that it's amazing!

It's something that fits neatly into my ordinary wallet, a truly knockout anytime, anywhere effect. You can just put it in your wallet and forget it's there.

Genius.

I've used KK a lot and it always impresses. It's even fooled very experienced magicians.

I liked it so much that I sent Kenton a few suggestions, which you can find in the follow-up book Killer Konceptions. Many of the ideas in that book require some extra preparation, though, so they don't have the impromptu advantage of the original.

I've always used my ordinary wallet, but my new one is a bit too thick, so I was toying with the idea of getting an Heirloom wallet for formal performances. Anyone used one? Is it an improvement?

I am so so so confused whether or not to buy this! It seems too good to be true and in the magic world, that usually is the case!

The Original KK, manuscript only, is very cheap so I'd say go for it. A special wallet helps but is not necessary.

Hi All

I'm new here so will probably dig up a few old threads.

I keep Kollosal Killer in my wallet, hardly ever use it, but when I have done it has truly 'killed'.

Someone I have known for years says it is the most amazing thing he has ever seen me do (which I am not sure how to take :? ) On that occasion it was with John Mahood's KENT, the guy who witnessed it still remembers the card I pulled from my wallt (9 of Spades).

I have occasionally performed it as a piece in and of itself, when caught short (I always have my wallet), using a little pseudo-hypnosis to dress it up, which works well.

All said, I reckon it is definitley worth the money, with ease.

All the best

James

Kolossal Killer had one obvious fault; the out of writing One Card Out on the back of the card. If you could truely read minds and you knew that your subject would be one card out, then surely you would put the next card in your wallet, rather than writing on the back of your original selection? Mark Oberon's Bang On overcomes this problem. You need a couple of special wallets, but you get the person's selection every time. It's a winner.

The out seems to strengthen the effect.

i agree, whenever I perform this I almost want them to need the out. It seems to create a far better reaction. The fact that we didn't have the exact card in the wallet is bypassed as though we had been leading up the garden path all along in a (dare I say it) cheeky Derren sort of way.

Fabulous effect that is always set to go.

I was trying to make a very thin KK wallet setup, got the thing right down but had to use manipulation cards (the very thin ones)
Its fine as long as the spec does not touch the card, but as we know this would only be a problem half the time.
Anyone else tried this method ?

Why would the spectator need to touch the card?

If no spec touched the cards why don’t we all use thin cards then ?

After I set this up I steam ironed my wallet with everything inside. It really made a remarkable difference in reducing the overall thickness - and can be done again whenever needed.

I've never handed the card to the spectator - I can't see the point. I just show it.

I wouldn't worry about the wallet being thin. I've always managed with ordinary cards. I used to use a full set, but now as I have a Stealth Assassin as my everyday wallet I manage with 50%.

Very occasionally a spectator comments that i have more than one card. I simply tell him to go home and try to fit a full pack of cards in his wallet.

I constantly have KK in my everyday wallet (not that I switch wallets according to whether it happens to be a weekday or a Saturday)... It can be quite bizare at the cashpoint when the occasional flash of a certain summat appears next to your Barclaycard.

It's true that with "mental" magic effects it's all in the presentation; KK being a case in point, as mreley pulling out a card after u ask spectator to name one is more like a quick fire draw shootout between cowboys: who's gonna pull it out first, punk?!

It's definitely the ID of wallet effects, and gives you a springboard away from cards into more mentalism based effects thereafter. I'm awaitng a Mind Reader Wallet, and reckon it'd be a great routine to have them maybe write down their thought of card, do the usual spiel and then take it one step further with this premonition, that you actually placed one card next to...

Hi guys

I'd like to purchase Kenton Knepper's Classic Kolossal Killer from Alakazam. It comes with a wallet, but the price is really high (75£), so I just wanted to ask, if someone owns this "version"...?!? Is it diffrent to the 17£ version??

Thank you for answers

J.
