London Magic Meet - May 15

Postby artychris » May 5th, '14, 13:50

We haven't had a TM meet for a while... so it's about time that we did!

So, on THURSDAY, the 15th of MAY, from 7pm, it's the first London TM meet of the year!

And it's going to start off in Zebrano on Greek St in Soho, and possibly moving next door to the Weatherspoons as the evening continues...

Feel free to bring cards, coins, contraptions for sawing people in half... And if this is your first meet, there's absolutely no pressure to perform, it's just about having fun and a couple of drinks with other magicians!

See you all there :)

This may help a little:-

and

plus they do a decent price on cocktails... And I believe they may even have a resident magician there on a Thursday...

Just to remind you all of this!!!!

We should have a good group of TMers attending :) and more are always welcome!

So... If you've considered coming along before, but never have... This is the one!!!

And if you haven't been along in a while... It'll be great to see you again!

Oo, me gulliver.

Simon Scott

If the spectator doesn't engage in the effect,
then the only thing left is the method.

Agreed, was a touch hungover this morning!

But it was a great night!

Three things come to mind... Firstly, the reaction of the night from a non magician to a trick was from Ine's "Mental Photography" routine! The classics!!!
Secondly, Mr Grue's virtually unrepeatable recovery from the spectator shuffling the cards in the middle of "Gemini Twins,"... Superbly done, Mr Grue!
And thirdly, I was rather chuffed at Mr Grue's response when I did James Browns "Reverse Engineering," ... "Unnatural!" I believe he said!

And here's a photo from the night.

A photo facing the other way would have been good too, as Mr Grue had just pulled a 2p coin out of his nose, and the look on the face of the girlfriend of the guy holding the camera was fantastic! :)

See you all at the next TM meet :)

I'm off to a lecture by Norman Gilbreath now...
